"Miracle on Ridgedale Drive"

Well it wasn't quite the same as the movie, but there was definitely a twinkle in this Kris Kringle's eyes that makes you wonder...

This was the first time we have taken either boy to meet Santa and as you can see he and Luke bonded immediately. It was so cute. Blake on the other hand had an indescribable look of fear on his face and clung to Kurt like super glue. Maybe you have to start the Santa thing earlier than 2 1/2. He did however have fun riding all the cars at the mall.

And I have to note a funny conversation Kurt and I were having the other day about Santa, but if you have children that can read you might want to cover their eyes.

So, we were discussing whether or not you wrap the "Santa" presents and how many the boys should get. I said "no and only 1", he said "yes and why just 1?" I said you can't have more than one because how do you explain to your children how Santa and his elves can wrap, fit into the sleigh and deliver all of those gifts in one night? Kurt's response, "is it any easier to explain how he can wrap and deliver 1 billion presents in one night versus 2 or 3 billion?" Point taken. :)

My vote is more than 1 is just fine. :) Love the pictures of Luke with Santa!

We sure do love our little Minnesota Hoosiers!! Aren't they just the cutest? I am sure that you're a little biased too!! ;-)

Santa gifts are left unwrapped for the Hooten children. We should have limited it to 1 long ago. It would make things MUCH EASIER (not to mention less expensive) now that they are almost 8 and 11 (in 9 & 19 days, respectively according to this morning's update from Jacob!!) Be glad you have June and July babies!!

One other piece of advice: if you and Kurt do stockings, have backup plans to fill your own (unless Kurt is on top of such details) once the kids start noticing such things. I am STILL being reminded, by my mortified son, that I was on the Naughty list two years ago (he noticed the empty stocking)!!! (Ross was NOT on top of such details!!! He is now!! I now have backup goodies! Ha!)

Love ya and miss ya a whole bunch!

i grew up a bit spoiled & everything was wrapped up. so, i've been wrapping everything (special paper for the santa gifts). i wish we had decided earlier on 1 santa gift. we may try that out! beano was wanting 2 race tracks for xmas, but i told him another kid needed one. he said fine. i was amazed there was no arguing!
i hope you are all doing well & have a happy thanksgiving!
if you head down this way, let me know. hubby's working all holidays, so i can travel to see you with the kids if you're at your folks!
