Labor Day Fun

We had such a fun today! A big group of us...Chloe's family (including her super sweet grandparents from Ohio), Aleksandra's family, Devon's family and Jonny's family all went to the Fall Harvest Orchard out in Delano. We had the most beautiful weather and I cannot think of a better way to truly close out summer here in Minnesota then a trip to an orchard. When all the kids first arrived you cannot imagine the excitment. They just love playing and being together and they were all so excited for this trip.

Fall Harvest Orchard was GREAT! It was so much more than a traditional orchard. They had chickens running around everywhere, pigs, goats (including baby pygamy goats), cows and (Mammaw and Pappaw you are going to love this) GUINEA HENS!! They had a great wagon ride that made stops along the orchard for the kids to pick corn, gords, look at sunflowers and learn about other crops like cotton, soybeans, and flax. We got to taste the new variety of apple developed by the University of Minnesota...SweeTango. It's seriously the best apple I've ever had. The kids had so much fun playing in the corn bin. This was probably our longest stop of the day! They also enjoyed picking apples and climbing on the old tires. We are already planning our next visit for when the pumpkins are ready!

Even Luke had a friend today...his little gal pal Rylee from school. She is Devon's little sister.
